My Philosophy

I truly believe in your moments, in your stories. I believe that each moment big or small holds a special memory. I want to capture it all, so that in the years to come you, your future kids and grandkids and the generations after, can forever soak in every emotion and detail of your story. Let’s be real photos are one of the few things we have of the generations before us and teach us so much about each other. That’s what I want for your photos, to be frozen moments of your unique story to remember and be remembered. Isn’t that a beautiful thought!

I want to create a space where you can feel comfortable, relaxed and can be your real selves. My photography style is a mix of interactive posing and authentic moments. In other words I will direct you through fluid poses (having fun with your best friend), and create a space for the real you to shine and seep its way into every photo. Hoping to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and have fun!

Serving you is my ultimate goal. There is a lot out there telling you how your day should be, or how you should look, but I am here to be your advocate & friend. I genuinely want your wedding day and/or session to be as stress free and relaxed as possible so you can really enjoy and be apart of the moments. I believe every story should be told in its own unique way, whatever way that may be, I am here to cheer you on in it. Don’t know where to start with making your day uniquely you? I got you!

I am also a firm believer in connection. Connection between us as professionals and friends, connection to my art and your photos, and ultimately connection between you and the memories your photos will hold. I love walking away from a session or wedding feeling like I just spent a few hours with friends and I would love for you to feel the same.

I am a natural light photographer, which means I don’t tend to bring or include any extra lighting set ups and only use the light of the spaces/day to create each image and create a natural vision of what your day truly felt like. (more on the FAQ page)

You might see the word relaxed a lot, that is because that is truly what I want for you. My personality in life and work is a more laid back approach, I am here to help you feel the same on your wedding day. You should not have to feel stressed or overwhelmed with details/timelines on your day. My goal is to help everything run smooth, bring joy to your day and encourage you both along the way. After all it is most important that you become husband and wife at the end of the day…or had a good time at your session together (if just booking a session)

The experience

I am so excited you are interested in inviting me into your story! First things first you can hit that contact button and fill out a few questions so I can get a little insight into who you both are and what your dreams for your wedding day are. I love reading through these and getting excited about your wedding with you, so over sharing is encouraged! I’ll then send you an email with more information and insight about me, my photography and my pricing guide. If you’re feeling we might be a great team and you want to move forward we will then set up some time to meet, whether through drinks, dessert, coffee or FaceTime. This meet up is a chance for us to get to actually know each other, talk through wonderful wedding dreams, go over some of the nitty gritty details and really just get a feel for who we are. I want us both to feel comfortable and feel we can truly be friends and trust each other in this season. Once we feel we are a good fit, you will sign a contract and pay a 30% nonrefundable retainer fee. Then we are official and I get to do a little celebratory dance =D. I will send you my wedding guide full of information and insight to help you in the wedding planning process and you will have my personal cell for any questions you might have. I will from then on be there to serve you in whatever way I possibly can. I will be there to listen or give an opinion for any reason, wedding related or no. I will help, console, laugh, hug, joke, have a WE DID IT dance with you. I want to serve you in whatever way I can and walk with you through this season of life. Your tense family dynamic? How to add a little something to your wedding? It’s going to rain what do we do? All the ins and outs. We will work together to create a wedding day schedule and I will do everything I can to bring you peace on your wedding day, be your go to support that day, capture your most important moments in the most beautiful way and help you have the time of your life. Ultimately I will be your person if you need anything during this season of your life and any season after! YAY!
